A friend was talking about it and playing it, wanted me to join in, so I'm downloading it.

Looks nice. I'm half tempted to run down to best buy and get the Orange Box for the PC. I am not sure if these laptop will run it smoothly or not. It's kind of old. Also, didn't you say something about Urban Terror (I think it's called)? It's a free counter-terror game (like CS). I was looking for free games just awhile ago and came across it. It looks like it would be fun.

Also considered installing Priston Tale (remember that free2play MMO?). But dunno if I want to play through the first 40 levels again.

I finished downloading the mod-- going to test it out today. Lookin' at the screenshots makes me wish I could play it right now.

Wow is pristontale still free2play? I remember playing that back in high school.

Also played the shit out of runescape. Even had a paid runescape account for awhile.

Yes, Urban Terror is free and pretty addicting. You can do wall jumps and run and have stamina, but it's still that CS sorta feel.

Another great free FPS is Combat Arms-- still play that a lot.

The more you play the more you get into it.

Buy an AK-74 as soon as you possibly can. If you're still only playing with the default gun, you gotta check out some of the other weapons. Everything is rented for in-game money you earn from matches. Also gain xp, but I'm sure you noticed.

Other fun guns to get-- the uzi and military shotgun are both great secondary weapons to have. For the big snow valley-esque maps, check out that green sniper as a primary, forget its name, but it's the slowest one. It's a 95% of the time 1-shot-kill weapon. Kinda like a railgun though-- if you miss, it's precious time your enemy has to get away. But-- unlike the railgun, you can't shoot through walls. heh.

Some metal walls like the trains in Pump Jack can be shot through, just fyi. Don't know how many times I've been called a hacker for killing people that way.

Cool, I wasn't able to figure out if you could shoot through walls or not. I only recall one time I shot a guy through the doors under the bridge in Sand Hog, but I thought it was lag.

Here's my Char and gear. I've been kickin' ass so far, but a few maps a ran into cheaters and it was pretty shiitty. I would like to play with some smart teammates as well, since I was playing CTF last night and my team was worthless. I don't like to call people out, but I got kinda mad as was like "dude duartefab get out of the tower and help out" and he was all like "lol, i'm just after kills". We got raped like 3 maps in a row on that big snow map. The other team had like 203 snipers behind their flag.

I got the M14 with ACOG and extended mag. It's a beast at long range, lots of stopping power and accuracy. Not that great in close quarters, so I bought the AK74u with a silencer for that type of work. Pretty good combo, so far, but expensive to outfit with both of these for 1 day. Might look into AK47 or G36 next go round.

My K/D dropped from 2.56 to 2.53 since I started playing again. Haven't been in my usual grove that I had when I was really into it.

And my player rank at one time was about 1700 in the game-- now is over 6000. Bleh. Still pretty okay considering I don't play too much and there are people ranked 250,000+

I had many games last night with KDR like 42-15, 24-5, etc, but they are kinda offset by the game with the hax where I had like 30 deaths or some shit. >

Yup, been there. It's sorta a problem. And even if you leave mid-game it keeps any deaths. So there isn't any way of getting out of it. One downside to CA is they still have some cheating issues.

It's hard to keep a fairly high consistent K/D when playing all different maps and gametypes. Playing CTF, where caps should mean more than kills, doesn't work like that for a lot of people, as instead of winning the game, they opt to just try to not die and end up losing all the fucking time. Fun to play with people who know how to play. heh.
