Nice drop... pretty big one. I'm sure that'll push people who were considering a PS3 to grab one up.
I'd definitely consider it more-so than a couple months ago-- but I have a 360 now so I don't need another console thing.

It's great they acknowledge, finally that sticker price was too much. All I need now, is loot to justify buying one. Hopefully it doesn't take as long as the denial of a global recession, kicking in and all. 
When I do have loot though, more exclusives to take care of. Price drop will help Sony, especially in the Dev support and hopefully in some decision, when a Supa-Game comes out.
I need to have a mint, of some sort, to stand a chance on early '10 releases, let alone a backlog of Alt-console games.

Man IN norway the PS3 price has droped but it nowhere near 299USD mark. Xbox360cost less then the 299USD. PS3 in norway was i think 450 mark..

$300 for the elite now. the 60 gb is gone. there will be one for $400 with a 250gb hdd, 2 controllers and the new call of duty. not bad if you are minus xboxen

even here. And im gonna get a second one my old one is acting up. Keeps shutting off every now and then without any warnings. And here there's no official warranty lol So if i was to repair one at SOny PH it would cost me a new PS3 lol..

Even removed everything cleaned it and put it back together. Same crap..
But its only on every game it like to turn of, except for rockband ..

The red flashing lights means an overheating problem. but my ps3 is not even hot to the touch. one time after 24hrs and i just turned it on. and it loaded up the xmb and a few sec it turned of with the beep and red flashing light...
I been asking and they say it will die..
btw my model is CECHE12.
Anyways when i get a new one I can use the old one for linux
But the funny part i did spend 2days trying to download that patch to M.A.G. it never turned off. only when playing games will it do it.
And I thought if it over heat a message should pop up telling my system is overheating.

Not even excessive heat on the underside? I noticed that is a common yet mildly stealthy overheat spot in lots of shit.

Nope.. and its got a big ass fan. Well one day i will get some thermal paste and paste to the heat sink. And in the final resort wen i feel like it i will get it to a 3rd party to repair it. gonna get the new slim tomorrow. im gonna miss those 2 extra USB and mem card readers.
