It's simple ...i have the retail ut2003 vers.2017 no patches..(cause when i put one it bugs the hole damn

game) and now i really want to play online ...what do i do..?

I downloaded the 308Mb+ Dedicated

Server from the offical Site of UT2003

now there isnt any instaler...nothing ...i

inserted the files in the ut2003 directory..and when i go in NETWORK In options ....it says ...something about

viewing my tracks there , idont noknow what theat means but anyways...then i already have the CD Key generated

...i insert in in the registry...and then during a game i try to connect ...and it says Authentication Failed

...(that's to receive the news...) then i go in LAN section ...and i'm not able to get any servers at

all ...not one...it's ****y ...i would apreciate some help from someone please ....and so exact

instructions on how to install a server on UT2003 ..because it's one of my favorite games.....

To play

online you need UT2003 latest version (2225 ATM). No escaping that sorry.

You do NOT need this

dedicated server thingy.

Once you got the patch just click Play online/LAN and join any server

if that's the only thing i otta do ...well ...it dosen't work..

at the news tab...it says...Authetication Failed...that must mean that it dosen't have any

connection or something like that ......and when i go in lan ....i do refresh ...and nothing

happens..!!!!...what do i do now ...it's weird

Do you

have a valid CD key? You won't have any servers in the LAN tab, that's normal.

Did you

actually buy the game? You can't just download ut2003 dedicated server and play the game... :-/

Did you go to a

store and buy the game? If you downloaded it and found a key online I will NOT help you, and no one else

will.

Go read your instruction manual and come back if you still can't inout the

cdkey at install and then start the game and click play online. jesus...

1) you'll need to e-mail Epic for a SERVER CD-KEY, info is on the site. "Server

admins wanting to advertise their server to the official master server list, and be included in UT2003 stats

will require a dedicated server key" go

now

it's a DEDICATED SERVER, you do not need a copy of UT2K3 on your computer. that's why the download is

only 300 megs and not 2.4 gig!

I'm going to recommend you uninstall and Re-install UT2K3,

seeing you prolly overwrote files in the system folder you shouldn't have.

To install it unzip or

Extract the files to a DIFFERENT location than where UT2K3 is installed. there is a readme file there too read

it.

What I wrote above may now be useless seeing you know that you can run a Dedicated/lan/listen server

from the game itself, but as you said before you copied the Dedicated server into your UT2K3 folder, so you

prolly overwrote key files. Uninstall UT2K3 and re-install it.
